The Audi R8 V10 Spyder RWS 2018 is 40 kilograms lighter than the Audi R8 RWS V10, weighing in at 1,680 kilograms (without driver). The shaft load distribution of 40.6: 59.4 (Coupé) and 40.4: 59.6 (Spyder) along with chassis and tuning handling that is specifically tailored for rear-wheel drive provides for highly entertaining driving. The electromechanical steering is completely free from steer torque and allows proper handling.
Chassis settings and control systems allow controlled drifts if the driver selects the “dynamic mode” in the standard Audi drive select and sets ESC Stabilization Control to “Sport”. ESC intervenes reliably at the limits to maintain handling in the examination.
The pure character of the new R8 variant is underlined by the matt black lattice of Singleframe and the matt black air aperture on the front and rear of the car. The upper sideblade of Coupé is finished in black gloss, with a lower blade in body color. Alternatively, an optional 20 inch fork aluminum alloy wheels either in titanium matt or gloss black anthracite shod with front tires 245/30 and 305/30 tears.
The specifications reflect that of the quattro R8 V10, featuring all LED lights and LED back lights with dynamic indicators as well as Audi Virtual Cockpit, Audi Sound System High-definition, MMI Navigation Plus with MMI Touch and Audi series connecting Infotainment Services. Advanced Keys, Cruise controls and front and rear parking systems plus complete the standard equipment package.
Audi Sport also offers the opportunity for owners to full personalization, with a layer of carbon gloss expanded to the mirror house, front lip spoiler and bay engine, while Audi’s exclusive program can also be applied comprehensively to various contact points on the interior to ensure no two R8s same.
Further improvements can be made to the infotainment and support system on the board by setting options such as Audi Laser Light extending the range of headlights, the specially developed Bang & Olufsen sound system, the Audi Phone Box and the Smartphone Interface.
