A central computer determines when a diesel engine provides the drive and when and to what extent the electrical engine is used.
When the hybrid battery is fully charged, DAF LF45 4×2 truck FA Day Cab Hybrid 2006 can travel up to 2 kilometers on battery power without the need for a diesel engine to drive it. In practice, this is enough to push in and out of the “green zone” in the city center.
