Kenworth T800 LNG 2009 Nice Innovation Design – Since 2009 Kenworth T800 is available with Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) fuel as a result of the innovation of using liquefied gas engines to reduce the impact on the environment. The Kenworth T800 LNG 2009 is equipped with the LNG Westport Innovations fuel system and the 15-liter Westport GX engine, which provides up to 450 hp and 1,650 lb-ft of torque and meets the US Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Source Board certification standards. The Westport GX engine is based on the industry-leading 15 liter Cummins ISX engine.
Class 8 trucks used to use cleaner LNG can reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions and greenhouse gas emissions by around 33 percent and 20 percent, compared to diesel-fueled trucks. LNG fuel can also cost from 50 cents to $ 1 per gallon less than equivalent diesel fuel.
The Kenworth T800 LNG 2009, which offers an operating range of at least 300 to 500 miles, has a large screen mounted on the dashboard to monitor LNG fuel levels. The LNG fuel tank can be configured to meet various customer requirements. The Kenworth T800 LNG 2009 is available with a daily taxi, Kenworth Extended Day Cab or 38-inch Kenworth AeroCab bed.
