Lexus LS 500 F-Sport 2018 Design Aggressive Tranquility – The Lexus LS 500 F-Sport 2018 is a slightly upgraded version of the standard sedan from its debut at the Detroit Auto Show. The Lexus LS 500 F Sport 2018 is longer and wider with stretched appearance, ground-hugging, and sporty style because the bonnet and trunk lid sit closer to the ground. The front exterior, there is a large grille “Spindle” flanked by Z-shaped headlamps and a very sculpted air input on the bumper. Grill “Spindle” has a different mesh pattern and finishes in black instead of chrome gloss. The same goes for the intake in the bumper, with each surrounded insert painted black. The side profile has a dark chrome trim insertion just above the side skirt, while the wheels carry an exclusive 20-inch alloy design.
The rear exterior of the Lexus LS 500 F-Sport 2018 with a larger rear light extends to the rear fender and is almost X-shaped, a feature borrowed from many of the recent concept cars. Chrome trims between tail lights have also been darkened, while inserts on the bottom of the rear fascia that surround the drain are also completed in gloss black. Needless to say, the black accent contrasts sharply with the white paint of the presentation model, but it probably will not look good on a black sedan. On the other hand, black trim works with almost any color for silver and gray to red and blue.
The interior of the Lexus LS 500 F-Sport 2018 has been redesigned from the ground up, and will discover all the new features in this F Sport model. There is a low dashboard draped with horizontal lines and a separate design between a massive infotainment screen placed at the top and A / C controls on the bottom side, and unlike most cars in this class, the center stack and center console are separate units.
Seat design Lexus LS 500 F-Sport 2018 with 28-way front seats, which also comes with heating, cooling, and massage functions. The revised Active Noise Control provides a quieter ride and better comfort. The new 12.3-inch screen provides access to all features of the infotainment system as well as standard navigation. Options including a reversible rear-seat passenger seat of up to 48 degrees can provide comfort and serenity while at the rear, Lev Levin’s 3D-surround audio system with speakers on the ceiling, and large, 24-inch head-up displays.
Lexus LS 500 F-Sport 2018 gets some extra stuff to make the badge worth the extra investment. The standard front seats have been replaced with special F Sport units that provide enhanced support for dynamic driving. They also include a hollow grille pattern on the seating surface and a bespoke aluminum trim element. Steering wheels are also of various F Sport, as well as instrument cluster. The latter includes a moving meter with a gliding ring to display information, a design adapted from the LFA supercar. Further highlights include aluminum pedals, hollow shift handles and footrests, Ultrasuede inserts on seats and headliners, and exclusive, but optional, Red Circuit interior themes.
The Lexus LS 500 F-Sport 2018 update is also available for the Lexus LS 500h model, which incorporates a 3.5-liter V-6 and an electric motor into a highly efficient hybrid drivetrain. The V-6 has 295 horsepower and 258 pound-feet alone, but when the battery kicks it, the system output increases to 354 horses. Charging from 0 to 60 mph takes 5.2 seconds in a rear-wheel-drive configuration, while AWD data is not yet available.
The Lexus LS 500 F-Sport 2018 is not at all extreme, but gives the LS 500 a calm, somewhat sporty look that is sought after by buyers of full-size premium sedans. On flipside, the Lexus LS 500 F Sport 2018 is equipped with several chassis improvements. There is an updated VDIM system, which combines ABS, traction control, stability control, EPS, and several other functions. VDIM controls all vehicle subsystems including braking, steering, powertrain functions, and suspension systems, which means the F Sport must be significantly more dynamic than the LS 500 standard.
