Maserati Bora 1971 utilizes Citroen hydrualic system as a French manufacturer that operates brake, pop-up headlamps, driver’s seat, and adjustable pedal blocks. The 310 hp output enables a top speed of 260 km / h or 162 mph.

The 1971 Maserati Bora racing version continued to be developed in 1973 following the request of French importer Thepenier to compete in Group Four, but at the time – and after removing more than 430 hp from the car – Maserati could not achieve the 500 car production figures needed to obtain homology. The oil crisis, combined with the new tax restrictions passed by the Italian government, has, in effect, significantly reduced the market for such high-performance cars. Bora production ceased in 1978.
