Renault Sherpa CBH 385 Rally Truck Design – Mammoet Rallysport develops a new Renault Trucks Sherpa rallytruck for Dakar 2017. The first Sherpa racing prototype was burned some time ago and the team worked very hard with MKR Adventure to build a new truck for the rally. It’s based on military Sherpas, but the rally version has a different layout, driveline, and suspension. On January 1, 2017 this rally truck debuted in Dakar. Renault CBH 385 Special Truck, widely known as Sherpa.
The Renault Sherpa CBH 385 is basically a military vehicle that still uses ‘club four’ taxis. Of course the rally version has a different layout than military trucks. The driveline and suspension parts are also different, because the Renault Sherpa CBH 385 rally truck version is made more dynamic and flexible when passing through the Dakar rally road.
